I am a mixed media artist whose work incorporates sewing, painting, textiles, and screen printing. My work has been described as “neo-pop” and expressionist – I think it is somewhere between the two.  Each piece is a reflection of the ideas, moments, and feelings within and around me.

I am of Jewish descent and originally from New York.  In 2012, I completed my BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.  The art program at CMU opened my eyes to the definition of art in contemporary society, and how to piece together different mediums to create unique work.  During my time at CMU, I studied abroad for a semester at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.  While in Turkey, I began sewing together paintings on fabric, a big step towards the mixed media approach that I use.

From 2012 – mid 2017, I lived in Oakland, California.  From 2013 – 2016, I co-ran a screen printing business in Oakland.  In the summer of 2016, I left the business to focus on being a full-time artist.  After completing a 3 month artist residency at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles in spring 2017, I moved to Los Angeles where I currently live and work.
